The end of November brings a surfeit of emotions, like, “Where did this year go?” But there’s also excitement in the air, especially around PCMag, as the biggest shopping day of the year approaches! Black Friday falls on November 29, the day after Thanksgiving, and brings massive discounts on all kinds of desirable products. But waiting isn’t always the best bet. Smart shoppers know that retailers prepare for big sales with smaller ones. Case in point: projectors, on which we’ve already found some deep discounts, with more to come before Black Friday.
Projectors come in a wide range of form factors, but there have been many advances in the ultra-portable space. One of the best values right now is the Xgimi MoGo 2, especially with $150 off. in reviewed it and writer M. David Stone said it “offers a lot of features, including autofocus and powerful audio for its size.” The integrated Android TV 11 platform allows you to stream content from your favorite services without connecting an additional device, making it even more portable in any location that has Wi-Fi. One caveat is that it doesn’t have an internal battery, so you’ll need to have access to an outlet to power it up or buy an external battery pack.

Our expert reviewer M. David Stone gave the Epson EX3280 an Editors’ Choice award in his review, saying that this powerful projector “yet delivers vivid colors for presentations, sharp enough images, and even movies that are viewable from a portable projector that’s bright enough to stand up to ambient light.” The XGA resolution – just 1024×768 – is lower than what you get on many other models, but it makes up for it with the three-chip LCD design, 3600 lumens of brightness and ease of use. This is a great choice for presentations and the built-in speaker is loud.
